Grub in The Hub: Equity Crowdfunding
In six Canadian provinces new equity crowdfunding rules now allow anybody to invest in private companies. This opens up an entirely new way for companies to access capital. No longer limited to angel investors, friends, and family, private companies can now reach out to the crowd for investments as low as $500, turning their customers into investors and creating brand champions. FrontFundr is the first platform in Canada to close an equity crowdfunding deal, at 200% funded.
